The Orbis cap torque Tester is ideal for a wide range of screw caps and other components where accurate measurement of application and removal torque is required. The universal container attachment table is equipped with adjustable gripping pegs to hold containers of various shapes and sizes. The splash-proof housing with an IP-54 degree of protection is easy to clean, making it an ideal portable solution for torque testing in production and quality control. Orque values can be measured in all common units of measurement (mN, NM, lbf. in, ozf. in, kgf. cm) and displayed in peak hold or real-time display modes. Accidental change of these settings by the operator can be prevented by using the keyboard lock function. After the test is completed, the results can be instantly sent via RS232 or digital format to a printer orA PC for further analysis and reporting.

The Tornado cap torque tester has all the features and capabilities of Orbis with some important additional features:
1. The adjustable first peak function, in combination with the standard maximum reading, ensures that both the initial sliding torque and the bridge torque are taken into account. This is of particular interest when measuring the performance of capping devices with autopsy control (for example, ROPP), when the maximum reading alone is not enough to determine both characteristics. The built-in memory, which holds up to 500 results, is also available for storing during batch testing and can be downloaded later to a printer or PC.
2. Tornado also has 5 different configurable alarm settings according to individual closure types. Each setting will warn the operator using a buzzer and/or red and green LEDs to indicate in test time is if the indication of torque in limits or outside permissible limit.
3. In order to avoid the risk of unintentional change of measurement units or operating mode by operators, a password-protected lock function is provided. This is especially useful when the device is used for several shifts by operators with different skill levels.
