Please note that the cooling system can be adjusted to the ASTM D4703 standard (to achieve a cooling level of 15 °C/min) on request.
The system also cools the frame by keeping the body temperature near the ambient temperature.
  • Vacuum system
The press chamber can be placed under vacuum (30 — 40 mbar) using a vacuum pump built into the LabPro support table. Thus, the tests can be carried out even at high temperatures up to 700°C without the use of oxygen and/or other gases such as nitrogen or argon. The vacuum conditions can be programmed, and the vacuum pump is controlled by our programmable software or ProView software. After the pressing cycle, the pressing chamber is easily ventilated. Upon request, several additional functions can be integrated, such as a tempered glass window, lighting, electric walkways or several daytime running lights. All modifications are carried out in accordance with the normsEU and taking into account maximum security.
  • Heating capacity up to 700°C
The heating capacity of LabPro can be increased up to 700°C. Thus, a wider range of material samples can be used.
  • The system of rapid heating of stoves
By installing this time-saving system, the heating process of the LabPro press can be accelerated up to 20°C/min. This saves a lot of time, as it takes only 8 minutes (instead of 16 minutes) to reach a temperature of 180°C or just 19 minutes to reach 400°C (instead of 38 minutes).
  • Individual dimensions of the "gap" (the distance between the plates) and plates for pressing
Dimensions daylight (available mean distance between the lower and upper panels) and the size of the plates  see section "Technical specifications" — can be changed at request. It is also possible to add additional plates for pressing into the common lumen, which allows you to process a significantly larger number of samples in a single cycle. Each lumen can have its own heating/cooling settings.
  • Oil heating of plates
By than boards electric heated plate with oil heating can provide more homogeneous and uniform temperature distribution on square plates for pressing.
  • Cassette cooling system
The cassette cooling system consists of two water—cooled plates that can be moved horizontally - manually or electrically— between the plates of the press. The cassette system can even move vertically with the press plates to provide pressure cooling. In situations that require very rapid cooling, cassette cooling system — cooling to 250 °C minute — is the right solution.
In addition, the heating plates will be continuously heated, while the cooling plates will be continuously cooled. This method results in a much lower energy consumption compared to the traditional approach, in which heated plates must be cooled after each pressing, and then reheated. This not only reduces energy losses, but also significantly increases the efficiency of production and testing.
  • Floating top plate for ultra-low (< 10 kN) pressing force
The secondary pneumatic system provides a weightless closure of the floating top plate. This option is very useful when a low pressing force is required (0 — 10 kN). When the pressing force should be higher, a standard hydraulic system is used.
  • Steel, aluminum and copper plates for pressing
With the help of additional plates made of steel, aluminum or copper, a certain temperature distribution profile can be achieved. If a high specific surface pressure is required, other or specially hardened plate materials can also be used.
  • Extended warranty and maintenance plan
At the request of the customer, the standard warranty period can be extended. Fontijne also offers preventive maintenance and calibration services.
